Account Specialist

Portland, OR
Main Objective:
 
Work in partnership with end users, program employees, suppliers, and account executives to facilitate orders to completion and continuously support programs for constant improvement
Basically make every client feel pretty, everyday!


Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

- Customer service the hell out of our clients (usually through phone and/or email engagement)

- Manage custom order projects from top to bottom for continuous improvement – including product selection, supplier price negotiation, estimate generation, answering customer service calls, entering orders, verifying product delivers on time and on budget every time. Making sure products are made on spec, on brand and that the client has a positive user experience EVERY time

- Research and create presentations to resolve client business challenges

- Provide strategic insights and industry knowledge to support client endeavors

- Extensive phone contact with end users and suppliers

- Coordinate and track shipments

- Recommend alternative products to end users when stock is low

- Provide backup to other employees as needed

- Prep office for external client and supplier visits

- Take program fiscal responsibility including billing, inventory levels and client approvals for updates for assigned accounts

- Continue to develop deep understanding of business categories for assigned clients, continue to grow and learn about various products, decoration methods and industry trends to support client needs

- Update Quarterly Business Reviews with relevant sales and end-user information for the ongoing improvement of the client relationship

- Provide billing and collections assistance as requested by your manager

- Manage social media presence

- Other duties as assigned


Requirements

- PPAI CAS Certification

- Projection of a positive and professional attitude

- Time management & prioritization

- Multi-tasking and working well under deadline pressure

- Above average typing and data entry speed & accuracy

- Problem-solving capabilities

- Flexibility and ability to work well in a team environment

- Four-year degree from an accredited college or university

- A minimum of 3 years of promotion marketing experience

- Ability to travel 5% of the time

- Strong interpersonal, written communication and persuasive skills; comfortable and effective working with mid- to senior-level executives

- Excellent computer and software skills (MS Excel, MS Word, PowerPoint, Outlook are musts)
