We are looking for a self-motivated, results-driven general manager to direct and oversee our manufacturing/warehouse activities and to implement effective business strategies/programs. The successful candidate for this role should be a thoughtful leader and confident decision maker with excellent communication skills, superior knowledge of operations-related functions (including budgeting of resources), staff development, enhance efficiency and meet overall growth objectives. This position will report to the COO.
Responsibilities:
Establish a highly motivated workforce where employees work productively and develop professionally
Review and improve organizational effectiveness by developing processes, workflows and creating an innovative approach for improvement
Develop, implement, and maintain budgetary and resource allocation plans, including optimizing expenses
Prepare regular reports for upper management
Quantitively evaluate performance and productivity in all assigned areas
Ensure the development of tactical programs to pursue targeted goals and objectives
Oversee key recruitment, hiring and talent development programs
Evaluate and decide upon key investments in equipment, infrastructure, and talent
Engage with senior management in broader organizational strategic planning
Assign work to subordinates in a manner that is conducive for the company to run in a profitable and efficient manner, as well as follow-up on assigned tasks
Review and authorize invoices for payment
Maintain project timelines to ensure tasks are accomplished on time
Attend and participate in assigned training, safety and security education and other coaching/coursework as assigned
Partner with HR to resolve internal staff conflicts efficiently and to the mutual benefit of those involved

Preferred Skills & Qualifications:
15+ years of experience in a managerial role (prefer multi-year senior management role)
Strong decision-making capabilities, with ability to take charge
Excellent communication, collaboration, and delegation skills
Proven ability to develop and maintain budget plans
Pick/Pack fulfillment experience a plus
Proven track record of production efficiency improvement
Ability to motivate, lead, and hold employees accountable
Strong working knowledge of best-practice operational procedures
Extensive machine shop experience, with focus on engineering and process improvement
Print production experience a plus
Must have wide-ranging inventory management experience
Experience in long-term implementation and organization goals
Demonstrated ability to lead a complex and diverse manufacturing environment (multi-work-center experience a must)
Entrepreneurial minded with a continuous drive to improve and succeed
Proven record of success managing and implementing change in a unionized setting
Highly organized with a strong work ethic
Meticulous attention to detail
Ability to manage multiple priorities, projects, and display flexibility
Proficient in MS software and equivalent (ERP/MRP, TMS, WMS and similar)
